Frances Pitman, an assistant state attorney general in Shreveport, announced today she is running for a seat on the Caddo District Court.
Pitman is seeking the judgeship vacated by the resignation of Judge Woody Nesbitt. The election is Oct. 4.
Pitman, 55, has been in the Louisiana attorney general's civil division for the past 16 years. She graduated from LSU law school and is married to Caddo District Judge Mike Pitman.
