BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- The state's revenue forecasting panel hasn't revised its income projections yet, but Governor Bobby Jindal has an idea of what he wants lawmakers to do with any extra money.

The Revenue Estimating Conference meets on Friday. The governor said on Wednesday that he wants lawmakers to use any new money they estimate the state will have in the fiscal year that begins July 1 to replace one-time dollars slated to pay for ongoing programs next year.

And the governor said any more money the conference projects the state will have in the current budget year shouldn't be spent yet.  He said instead it should be saved for spending sometime next year as a surplus.

The estimating conference is expected to boost income projections by millions of dollars for this year and next year.
